Things have been quite hectic. I feel like I've lost my mind. Working while trying to settle in to our new house while parenting a 9 month old has proved to be too much for my brain. It's complete mush.
It's quite lovely out here (we have apple trees. WTF!) but it is an adjustment. I've pretty much tripled my drive time to work. Our yard is significantly bigger, so there is more to clean up out there. We have well water and it is AWFUL.
On the plus side. We have carpeting in our living room, a fireplace, a massive kitchen and SO MUCH FREAKIN' SPACE! This is a beautiful home and we're slowly making it our own.
On another note, I've become so overtired and stupid that I can't even figure out how to fill out The Barracuda's baby book. I've screwed it up. I either need to buy white out or a new book and just transfer everything. I have a Master's Degree, people, and I can't even fill out an effin' baby book? The Bear couldn't stop laughing at me.
Time for bed.

I was all set to start making babies, but then my ovaries made other plans.
Our Journey
- April 2009: Stop Nuvaring at the end of the month.
- May 2009: My period arrives exactly 28 days later.
- June 2009: My period arrives 33 days later.
- July 2009: My period is a no show.
- August 2009: My Period arrives 44 days later. I get concerned.
- September 2009: My period doesn't arrives for 46 days. I let Dr. A (Family Practice) know. I get labwork and an ultrasound. Results show that I probably have PCOS.
- October 2009: I get tested for insulin resistance (negative) and I meet with Dr. B (ob/gyn). She agrees with the PCOS diagnoses and wants me to try Clomid. I finally get my period after inducing it with Provera--it's been about a 60 day cycle.
- November 2009: The Bear gets tested, SA shows good volume but only 20% normal. Dr. B wants us to go to the fertilty clinic but thinks in the meantime it would be ok to try 50 mg Clomid CD 5-9. I induce my period with Provera and it arrives after a 50 day cycle.
- December 2009: The clomid is a bust. I FINALLY get into the fertility clinc and meet with Dr. C. She would like to repeat all of the tests but on cycle specific days. I of course have to wait to get my period before all of this can begin.
- February 2010: Follow up with Dr. C: The Bear's SA is PERFECT! Dr. C is not convinced I have PCOS based on my results. She's giving me the diagnoses of amenorrhea/oligorrhea. Shocker of the year--I get my period on my own after 34 days. I start Clomid CD 4-8. I also start acupuncture.
- January 2010: After a 52 day cycle (induced by Provera) we start all of our testing. SA, CD3 ultrasound and bloodwork, HSG.
- March 2010: U/s after Clomid shows follicles sizes 16, 14, and 12. Lining is 5.4. Trigger on CD15, timed intercourse. First cycle is a bust. I stop my progesterone suppositories and get my period after 30 days. Start Clomid CD3-7.
- April 2010: Monitoring u/s shows follicles at 22, 19, 16. Lining is 7.8! Trigger CD 15, Timed intercourse, progesterone suppositories. Big Fat Positive! Betas 144, 359, 637.
- May 2010: 1st u/s (6w3d) shows one teeny tiny baby with a heart rate of 106! 2nd u/s (8w3d) shows the heart rate of 163!
- June 2010: Am officially discharged from my RE after my 10 week u/s--heartbeat 168! Ladies and Gents, we have hands and feet! 6/21 have first appointment with NP at OB practice. HB was heard via doppler, ballpark of 150 bpm or so.
- August 2010: 20 week u/s shows healthy, happy baby. Due date remains the same--December 26!
- December 26, 2010: Baby Bear is a no show :/
- December 29, 2010: OB decides that I should be induced. Next available date; January 1, 2011 @ 0400
- January 1, 2011: I give birth to a healthy baby GIRL 7# 10oz 21" @ 1322 Hurray!
- January 2012: Holy Crap! I'm knocked up again! Due Date: Oct. 5
- October 5, 2012: Baby Deuce is a no show!
- October 12, 2012: Healthy Baby BOY born at 1341, 8# 6 oz 21" We are in love!
- July 2014: Amazing family vacation=Wind up prego!
- April 4, 2015: Healthy Baby Girl born 1 week and 1 day late! 8# 21" Still shell shocked!
